For the past 10 years, the Lviv Fashion Week has been supporting Ukrainian designers, opening new names and helping Ukrainian brands to be known outside the country. Thanks to the cooperation with international partners such as Mad Mood Milano, Fashion Hall Berlin, Serbian Fashion Week, Eurasia Fashion Week, Asian Designer Week, our designers were able to present their brands in Milan, Berlin, Serbia, China, India. So, in September, under the Mad Mood project, international press and bailiffs in Milan presented the collections of SS 2018 brands Lesia Semi and Novana Studio, the latter on the platform TSCOF, which is also a partner of the Lviv Fashion Week.
Gianni Versace Exhibition. Private collection by Alexandre Stefani. One of the main events and the opening of the XXth season of Lviv Fashion Week will be the exhibition of the works of the legendary Italian designer Gianni Versace, which will be held at the Pototski Palace on October 26-29. In the private collection of Brazilian collector and artist, Alexander Stephanie, there will be over 500 works by Gianni Versace, including clothing and accessories from the most important collections that show the most important moments of the professional evolution of the fashion designer. During many years Alexander studied Versace’s work and collected his works; in his studies, he met many personal friends and colleagues of Gianni and managed to buy very important works – some of which Gianni himself gave away to friends, while others were purchased at charity auctions that celebrated celebrities.
Alexander Stefani began to share with the world his archives in 2017, 20 years since the death of Gianni Versace. This year there were events dedicated to the memory of an outstanding designer all around the world. Part of the collection by Gianni Versace by Alexandre Stefani was shown at various events in Brazil, Poland, within the Berlin Fashion Week in Germany.
“I think that fashion history is not fair to Gianni Versace’s talent and recalls his work only as a cliche with excessive sexy women’s clothing and vivid prints; instead, I want to show a much deeper genius of the artist by sharing his collection with the world,” commented Alexander.
